Fixed yoke C6???

I'm guessing you're referencing the companion flange that attaches to the output shaft with a large nut --similar to what's on my C-4 in the following photos?

My 68 F250 has it Garret. But unknown what the tranny came out of. My rig has a 460 with a C6 the Po put in it now. Was originally a 390 and C6. But we all know the 390 tranny won't bolt up to a 460. The peanut plug 460 looks to be out of a 73 T-Bird or Lincoln. Was with a 1973/76 Dent fuel pump. DOVE intake. So it's a real JY blend I guess.

Edit. I've always assumed a 2 piece driveshaft would have a fixed yoke tranny.

So you have a slip yoke in the driveshaft and a 2nd one at the tranny?

Yep! One in the shaft behind the carrier bearing, and one at the transmission.

I guess it's a good thing you do. Would have been difficult to install that AOD of yours otherwise.
