Firewall grommet (whole plug)

I have converted my 86 from EFI to a carb and would like to be able to plug the hole in the firewall with the proper grommet for the firewall. Does anyone have a line on where I can purchase one? I have searched LMC's catalog but haven't found one.

What part was originally in this firewall hole that you want to plug up?

Pretty sure he's talking about the oval(?) hole where the computer's wiring was run from cab to underhood area. I've seen in the JY what he's talking about, non-computerized trucks had that hole plugged off with a rubber grommet/fillerplug thing.

Firewall grommets are standard (hardware) part numbers, almost impossible to find in parts catalogs for any year truck.

I suggest the OP get one from a junkyard, I looked, couldn't find any.

I'm in the same boat. I've looked at 4 local yards and no dice. My passages are covered both inside and out with 'ye 'ol duct tape for now.

I'm pretty sure Reamer posted the part# a while back (or was looking for it and someone responded *with* a part #)

It was Whisler, not Reamer...

Chris replied that the part number is E3DZ 14603-A (marked E5TB 14603-AA or E3DB 14603-AA)

Check Green Sales, they may still have some.

Ugh! This is a path I'm going to have to travel sometime as I want all new grommets for Dad's truck. And, I've been unable to find several of them new or NOS via part numbers.

I've been in contact with a vendor which thinks they have them but they don't know them by part numbers. So, I'm to work with them when the time comes to find each and every one. I'll document what I find.

I had thought at some point that someone had posted a part number or something about them. I went through my need advice thread but couldnt find it so it may have been somewhere else or maybe I dreamed it but will give green sales a call.
