69 F100 truck build
I am starting this to help me keep up with my build on the 69 (Frankenstein) Frank for short, truck. Getting this stripped and ready to transplant the 460 with a c6 into her.
Working on mustang tank install in the rear. I have it in, just have to add a cpl more braces to make it steady. Just wondering if I need to get some kind of welting or make something to cushion the tank in the frame I made.
Will try to post pics as I do the build.

I have not done the tank conversions. But, I'd think as time marched on by it could possibly give to have some looseness that depending on road conditions it could cause some vibration enough to cause a leak in some place.
Just sayin unless the hold down bands can be adjusted if needed later.

Looks like you have a lot of work to do ahead of you but, the truck doesn't appear to be a rust bucket so, that's always a good thing.
My wife has a 1st cousin that lives in Jonesboro. I currently live in the south-central part of the state, although, I had lived in Searcy, North Little Rock, Conway and Batesville --not too far from where you are.
I also have a '69 F100 (short bed Ranger).

The truck is rust free other than right on the inside of the cab where the heater box meets the right kick panel. Leaves and trash have gotten in there and rusted out a spot the size of a tangerine. Wont take much to fix that.
Ultraranger may have to hook up some day and check each others trucks out. I love looking at these old bumps. My first truck was a 67 custom with a 300 and a three on a tree.

Hopefully I can. Depends on if and when I can find the time to work on it.
Slowly buying parts as I go along. I got some of the parts bought for the motor and trans install, just need to find an aluminum mid rise intake for the 460. Also need a ton more parts, small stuff like plugs and wires, water and oil senders, etc...
Takes a lot of damn money to build one of these things. I got a guy wanting my fleetside bed, he is looking for a good flareside to trade me, but not having much luck in finding a good one. I was hoping to drive it this year, but am afraid it may be spring before I can.
