Cam phasers is a huge issue for both the 4.6 and 5.4 3v motors. The spark plugs breaking upon removal is common (due at 100k miles btw) with these 3v motors up to mid 08 when ford went from a 2 piece design to a one piece there is a tool to get the broken plugs out. Exhaust manifold studs rusting and breaking cause exhaust leaks is also common especially in the rust belt. You should research these problems and the resolutions before pulling the trigger the hubs most likely just need to be cleaned and greased pretty common as well. Of course you could clean and grease the hubs and non of the other stuff could ever give you any trouble.

Cam Phasers, it makes the truck sound like a diesel. It has a knocking sound to it. Comes from the front of the motor and it quite pricey to fix. I just passed up a beautiful truck a couple months ago because it needed this done.
