How to keep window rubber pliable
The windows and therefore the window rubbers on my 55 F350 are original . What is the best way to keep the rubber pliable and functional and to keep it from cracking?
Is Armour All good or does it have some side effects? Baby oil? Or some other conditioner?

How true!. I think this truck had been stored in a barn when the farmer wasn't using it. I have one garage and my 54 is in it. I am renting a garage for the 55 for Dec thru March.
Thanks for all the tips... so the general consensus is to not use armour all, right?

PS -- Is this the 303 that should be used: https://www.goldeagle.com/product/30...eal-protectant
I saw some stuff at Walmart once for making windshield wiper blades soft again. Out here we only use them a couple times a year, and they get hard as rock sitting against the hot glass the rest of the year. Anyway, the Active Ingredient in this stuff was ethylene glycol ... antifreeze.

I don't think anything will "restore" old rubber. Even stuff that's sat on the shelf is likely to have lost some of the polymers that keep it soft and pliable.

Hi Coach. Polishing briightwork and working on a few rubber pieces this week. What did you end up using on the window rubbers, and how did it work? Thanks in advance.
