Easy questions- there are fuel pumps Expensive on ebay (i need one too so I run
electric pump) gaskets are also on ebay. Kanter in NJ most likely can help with
bearings etc. one wire alternator, new 12vt coil and resister (your 6vt starter will
work fine with 12vts)..
Hard question; broken camshaft >how in the world< did that happen?
Next does it have hydraulic lifters? because I don't know if a solid lifter cam will
work I'll check on that. Or Chucks Trucks LLC he's a member here....does this
help a little. sam

Kanter Products: https://www.kanter.com/

Your engine has an automatic trans, so it is clearly a Car setup, not from a truck. There are differences between Car and Truck 337's. Honestly, your best bet is likely to be on the Ford Barn, Early V8 (1932-53) - The Ford Barn

You should mention you are in Great Britain, there are members over there who may be able to help. That engine/trans are difficult to find some parts for, more so over there I suspect.

Fred & Dan Kanter of Morris Plaines NJ got their start in the parts biz by selling NOS Packard parts at swap meets and in Hemmings Motor News.

But it wasn't too long after, when they began selling all makes of parts, because there were just so many NOS Packard parts to go around.

Not sure value but I've seen 2 of these come up in the last week. Other one seems to have sold for almost $1000 more but was total rebuild.

I found a cam shaft new in Ford box 'forgot I even had one' anyway Its
a 8EQ and I have no clue if it is compatible with hydraulic lifters or not.
I do know some trucks had hydruaulics. There is no mention in the books
It shows only part numbers on both lifters and a part number on the cam.
I'll take a pic today for you.

sam or email me at Visicoach@comcast.net.
