INTRODUCTION !

I just want to do a quick into to all the F150 peeps here . I am Smokiesman aka Smokie . i just sold my 02 F350 7.3 dually to my best bud . But I could not be truckless and I just picked up this 06 KR . So it looks like I will be joining ya all for some brain pickin . My only concern when buying this truck was the Phaser issue. My son in law left here a few weeks ago $3500 lighter in the wallet after having the dealer install new ones along with new chains in his 05 . This truck was very quiet no ticking or clunking like the son in laws . I would like to keep it that way and from what I have read oil changes are going to keep them alive or am I wrong on this assumption ? Heading it down to Fl in Dec for the winter and some modding. So nice to make ya alls acquaintance and look to be reading what ya have to say!

My understanding is that it's critical that you only use Motorcraft oil and filter for the best results.

Smokie, welcome. The oil changes are essential, the Motorcraft filter is an essential, and use a good syn-blend or full syn and you'll be good.
