Look what Matthew left behind.

Blessed that this is the only damage but it still hurt.

Dang, that's a nice truck.

I always tell people that ride with me "if you think we might roll over, get your head down quick". I wonder if the 2017 cabs hold up better?

Maybe just chop the top and make it a convertible.

Looks like a new truck is in your future. Thought i could make use of the box until I saw the other side. You have Roy beat now for wrecking things.

Cedars are just as bad up here when they get big except they bring the whole root out of the ground when the wind blows them over. I took out a few large cedars this summer. Have some more ash to drop still.

zsbjr - Sorry to see that. But as you said no one was hurt. Trucks can be replaced.

Depending on the year and mileage, I bet that gets fixed, unless there is frame damage and of course we can't tell by the pictures.

Making me want to put a roll cage in though...

i'd never want that truck, fixed or not...it'll never be the same. I'd push to have it totaled.

I agree...

I never opined whether I would want it or keep it... Just that I bet that gets fixed. I would push for a total as well...

The cab and bed are both modular pieces that can just be replaced, right?

I know it's expensive and a lot of work but the truck has to be worth at least $30,000 right?

I hope it works out, I suppose the weather event may push this into some storm damage classification so there might be some kind of government brokered deal between the state and federal agencies that make this both complicated and automatically pushed into some kind of disaster relief program some politician needs numbers for so that FEMA will be in the news.

Bet it gets fixed along with the thousands of flooded out vehicles reported on the news. Pretty truck and a shame that it got hit. Good luck with your insurance company, I would hate to go through this.

Unless there is frame or serious engine damage I bet they will pop off he bed and cab, put on the new ones, plug in some wires and say have a nice day.

Sub'd to hear what the insurance company will do...but look like a new cab, doors and bed and she's back to new, depending now if the estimate hits 75% will determine if she gets totaled.
