Ah dangit...if that's what the brotherhood really REALLY wants....fine, ok
Details...
1995 F-350 4x4 ZF CCLB, 4.10s, KingPin D60, 167k miles unmolested, ALL stock except intake and exhaust and DP. That'll change soon enough
A lot has been done to this truck. Let me try to get it all out.
New on it in the last 2 years:
Radiator
Water pump
Thermostat
Carrier Bearing and ALL U-Joints
Master cylinder
Clutch slave and master
Brakes F & R
It is an XL model, meaning power nothing, no tilt wheel, no cruise. I'll be changing that as well pretty quick. I love the idea of the simplicity. The idea behind this build is more durability, toughness, and dependability. It'll go somn like this in this order.
TS Chip (already have)
Edge Insight Monitor (already have)
EGT and Boost Gauges
Intercooler
E-fuel
Oil rail crossover
GPs if needed
Clutch and SMF if it does not have already
HPOP
Injectors but prolly new Alliants
I know that sounds boring to most, but here is what I DO NOT want. I DO NOT want to battle temps and stuff while towing. It doesn't need to be the most powerful tow rig, but more the most worry free tow rig on the planet. That is it's job...TOW YOUR AZZ OFF! I want to do this worry free for once and not have to watch skyrocketing EGTs, trans temps, etc...you guys get the picture. I cured the auto trans issue!!! LOL...But, As time and money allows, I will make it more powerful, but dependability is first and foremost. I had way too many nailbiting experiences with Ruby and I simply don't want those anymore, especially with family in tow. If I gotta go 45 up a 6% grade and not 65 but don't have to worry, that's **** to me.
Anyways, that's it. I know Bill, Darin, and Nick have accomplished the above with power to boot, but I don't have time or $$ to do all the mods right away, so therefore powah is not the main goal just yet.
Let the party begin! I fly out at 8:45 a.m. to go pick him up. With exception of some undisclosed major mechanical issue, I already committed to the guy to buy it. I talked to him on the phone for a couple of hours. He's an old farmer and engineer and came across like a good human being. Bottom line, I just kept coming back to this truck and it felt right. The others I looked at or called about did not...end of story. I'll update with photos tomorrow!
