Question 1998 conversion van Key fob programming and looking for the connector

Tried programming a new key fob. System won't go into programming mode(doors lock unlock). So I found the module behind the driver side yet there is no extra connector to jump the pin to put it into programming mode. I also looked underneath where the steering column is. Still no luck. It's a 1998 conversion van e150.

Any ideas where the connector is or why it won,t go into programming mode as described in the owners manual? All my other fords work as advertised.

It is to the right of the DLC when sitting in the driver's seat. It is a round two pin connector. Short out this plug with a jumper and the doors should lock and unlock to confirm a fob has been programmed.
