DIY Efuel Thread (w/ easy to read parts list)
All,
I will be needing to do the e-fuel conversion soon. I plan on doing it after I get my taxes done.... and since its freezing cold and I don't have a whole lot going on I worked up the parts list on a spreadsheet that should be easy to read and follow..... I've noticed no one has really put it together yet in my search for info. This should prove useful to any novice who is coming in wanting to do this. It should be complete as I reviewed quite a few threads regarding this and took away everything I could to make a complete list. I will update when I get everything and attempt to put it together lol anyhow...... let me know what you think of the list.
The total I came up with is around 700.00$. That price does NOT include the edge insight parts
I didn't cut corners or source cheap parts really, most of the fittings are EATON Weatherhead.

I could compile my efuel parts list as well as its fairly easy to go through my summit orders.

1000-1200 for a complete kit, plus you get to build it how you want. I did mine all with SS lines and setup a bit different than most and saved probably 300-400$ over what a "cheap" kit cost. Learned a lot along the way too, also aquired a ton of great tools for use down the road.

Just the pump/filter setup is $1000 and the regulator is $140

I guess the only one I looked at was the Airdog $719

I would never diy a fuel system on these trucks again. I have between 700 and 800 in mine, and a lot of headaches. Almost anything I needed I had to order. I live in the middle of nowhere and it was a pita to get all of my parts. It can be done quite a bit cheaper than that, but then you are using cheap parts. Not my style.
If I were doing it again, I'd spend a little more and buy a well put together kit. JMO of course.

Thanks, looks like a very clean installation and it looks like you accomplished one of my goals which is to avoid having the filters exposed and vulnerable to rocks and other hazards.
Darin, I know what you are talking about. I'm in the middle of kluging together my own system, although I cheated and bought parts of a kit. I didn't realize what I was getting into and I haven't even started on the electrical part yet.
