My First Car
As a new member of the forum I thought it was my duty to post some shots of my Fords over the years. My first car was a 1975 Bronco, 302 - auto. I bought it, had it registered and insured, and was driving it the day I turned 16. Here it is in about 1979, it was already showing rust. I had the whole thing repainted for $275. Fender flares from J.C. Whitney, I put Super Stingers on, my friends' sister later pinstriped it for $20. I traded it in 1980 for a new F150 Flareside 4x4.

climb aboard, join the fun
Welcome and thanks for the post!
I know a VTer that put a 250/4.1 in a bronk...
"...ney, I put Super Stingers on, my friends' sist..."
What's a super stinger?
Purchase price wuz not an insignificant amount of money for a 'kid' back then (or in relative terms today). When I lived in VT CoL & incomes were low comparing nationally - what did U do for wrk then?

kids, back then
looks like the snos went on the OEM steelies & the stingers went on the 'wagons". I still have a set of those rims on my bronk w/33" off rd tires.
Springfield is about the northern end of the greatest machine shop district in the world (beginnings of the Ind. Revolution thru to the '70s/early 80s) when knocked out by the very corporations that owned them. The southern end was a lill past Hartford. A kid could earn enuff to buy a new(er) bronk back in the pre-arbitrage days if workin one of those shops. Pay wuz pretty good then. .
