Redhead Steering Group Buy

Redhead Steering Group Buy
Some of the guys in the 7.3 diesel section are looking to do a group buy on Redhead Steering Gearboxes. I'm justing checking in here to see what the interest is so that we can do a coordinated group buy to hit the magic number of 36 pieces. If we hit 36 pieces or more then it is $60 discount on parts over $300 and $50 discount on parts under $300.
Lets get the ball rolling on this. Post up if you are in.
Thanks for looking.
I'm gonna give this 2-3 weeks to gauge interest and collect a list of interested buyers. Once we have a solid list, then I'll schedule our three day buying window with Redhead Steering. Unfortunately it is only a 3 day window to buy at this discount once we are scheduled. If we do not meet the 36 pieces requirement then I'll check with all interested parties if they would like to continue at a lower discount.
On the List.

Joel Cassell

Also, when it's time to actually pay up. Could someone be nice enough to private message me? I use the forum on my iPhone. And it's been about 3 months lately that I can only see threads that don't have no more than 15 post... I would really appreciate it. And I hope they get this fixed! I'm excited for a new gear box... I'm tired of the extra slop!

The only thing I chose not to do solo was hanging the new gear-box while starting the (3) mounting bolts. It’s certainly possible, because you can rest the gear-box on the frame, but why fight it if you don’t have to?That thing is heavy! I just had my wife start the bolts from inside the wheel-well while I positioning the iron-brick from under the vehicle.
I did remove it solo - easier because you don’t have to line-up any bolts. You can pull 2 of the 3 bolts, and with it resting on the frame balance it with one hand while you remove the last bolt with the other hand. Just make sure you’re out of the way in case it falls!J
I haven’t driven it yet because I’m still in the “middle” of the project. You know how it goes… one thing leads to another. Rebuilding the steering-column, clutch linkage, speedo cable, cleaning, painting, and last night after finding some slop in a steering-linkage ball-joint, I’m replacing the tie-rods and center-link.
