Negating the cost of fuel, but would would this truck be capable of driving 3000 miles to NH?

I'd say shipping it would be a better choice considering the cost of fuel and flight. Also it's not currently registered.

That's funny because I was just looking up to see what it would cost to ship.

Coming from New England, anything over five years is rusted and rotted out. With that said, how are the floorboards and frame? Solid? Rusted? Ever been coated with anything like POR? I see you're near the ocean; my concern with be the salt.

And is there anything preventing it from passing inspection?

Thanks for the answers. I've been driving a clapped out F250 that's on its last leg. Been looking at newer trucks, but people want $15,000 for 2004s with 150k miles. I just can't see spending that type of money.

floor boards are solid, no POR or anything else that's questionable... truck spent most of its life out in the desert near Palmdale/Lancaster

Has the motor been rebuilt at all other than the cam?

Passes inspection?

I'll see what's is out there for shipping.

I believe the engine was rebuilt before it was parked for 2 years. As for inspection the smog pump is off but included, and the egr valve is still installed on the engine. It does not have cats on it so it won't currently pass smog if you have that in your area.

That's a good deal!

Solid project right there! CA rigs are (generally) pretty solid.

yeah, that's why I picked it up because there was no rust in any of the common areas. some elbow grease and a little money and this thing could be a really nice truck.
