My son has available a set of four Budd R89340s, 19.5" x 6", having the 5 lug x 8" bolt pattern. These wheels are in good shape having no bends, rust, or other road hazard damage. They are $85 each, and he will also ask that the buyer cover the $8.00 each cost of tire removal and disposal.

The wheels are in Oregon (zip code 97217) and can either be picked up or shipped at the buyer's expense. My son will deliver them to the shipper. We've had good success in the past using the local R&L Carriers depot. They put the wheels on a pallett and shrink wrap them securely. The wheels weigh 45 lbs each, and with the pallett will be approximately 200 lbs.

Yes, these are still available. I talked to my son this morning and he mentioned that the guy hasn't gotten back to him. The 5 lug x 8" pattern was the standard on all the older 1.5 ton Fords. These will not fit the 38-47 tonners. To find the 8" measurement you put your tape on the outer edge of one stud then measure to the middle of the third stud in the circle. In essence you jump one stud and go across to the next one. Stu

 

My wheel has BUDD and 65 stamped on it. This is on a 1968 motorhome that was built on a ford chassis. The measurement I took was 7 and 3/4 inches doe that sound right thanks gary

 

Are you measuring just between the studs, or including the nuts? It should be exactly 8" if you measure outside of stud to middle of stud. All that said, the only other possible bolt pattern would be 6 x 7.25", and you don't have six studs. What really has me scratching my head is your 14 x 17.5" statement. Some old motor homes had 17" tube type Budd wheels. But the tires would be 7.50 x 17". Any 17.5" wheel tire combo will be tubeless. Your "65" find is the year of manufacture. Is your motor home dual rear wheel or single rear? Stu

 

single 14x17.5 .... 5 studs on the rear and 6 studs on the front wheels. I plan on using your wheels as a dual set up on the rear with 245 17 19.5 tires. I was measuring outside to outside of the bolts. I probably lost 1/4 of an inch in accuracy. I can send pictures of the wheels if that would make a difference..Thank You Gary

Stu my lug distance seems to be 7 3/8 or 7 1/2. Eight inch would definately be to far. What's your thoughts on my lug distance? My wheels are 5 lug. 1951 f6

 

Yours are 8". To measure a five lug wheel pattern you put your tape on the outer (furthest) edge of one stud, skip the next stud in the circle, and measure to the middle of the third stud. That will be 8". It was a standard pattern used by many of the vehicle manufacturers. Stu

 

I see. I measured from center of lugs. Eight makes sense. I'll be needing six wheels. Do have any?
