i have a 2001 F-250 4X4 PS diesel. i need to replace the wheels bearing in the front driverside. From a parts store it costs 270.00. I found it on ebay for 135.00. has anyone bought them from ebay and is it a bad idea?
If they are really cheap, they are made in china. I bought two from an ebay seller in that price range to get me by until I could get a dynatrac. You really get what you pay for. The fit and finish on them was really bad. If they are not listed as Timken or SKF then they are fakes. You can get true OEM for way less than dealer cost here:
Get the actual Timken or SKF part number, not Ford OEM number, then order directly from a bearing retailer, requesting for an actual Timken or SKF, not a knockoff one, you will find the price is so much less.

we do business with motion industries where I work. the problem being is that you have to replace the whole hub. do you think that they would carry that?

I DON"T BELIEVE THEY ARE IN TO TRUCK PARTS,BUT I HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOUCH FOR A WHILE,IF THEY HAVE THE BEARINGS ,WHAT IS WRONG WITH BUYING THE HUB AND PRESSING THE BEARINGS IN.I AGREE WITH THE OTHER POSTS THAT SAY STICK WITH TIMKEN OR SKF,VERY DANGEROUS TO BET YOUR TRUCK ON CHINA JUNK.
