Need convex mirror lense for 01 drivers side tow mirror

I need some mirror glass. Does anyone have a junked driver's side tow mirror with good convex glass that will fit to an 01. I would prefer the glass and the backing plate. Mine has the 2 white alignment pins and the center pivot post.

Thanks in advance !

I've never actually been in a superduty with convex mirrors. All of mine and the ones I work on were all flat. Bugs the hell out of me because it makes the passenger side almost useless.

Yup, mine are. The glass actually curves and Ford / the parts stores are VERY proud of that "bent" glass ! !

For kicks, call up a local glass shop and see if there is anything they can do.

I have used Burco redi cuts for a spotter mirror replacement and have had no problems. They make replacement mirror glass cuts for nearly every mirror out there. As a side note, Ford does sell their spotter mirror but it is upwards of $40. The Burco cut ran me I think $25...

I may have a spare one as well... I'll know once I replace my whole mirror with the 05-07 style with the signal lights in them.. My drivers side base is broken.. So I should be able to send you that once I get the new one... Keep me posted and if you're in a jam I can get it sent to you after I get my truck back up and running !

I could use the base plastic (that nicely streamlined piece) for a passenger side mirror

trying to replace the mirror right now. Advance sent the wrong glass the first time...not too optimistic they'll get it right the second time.'

Didn't even scratch that big old branch I hit driving fast to get through a deep soft spot...
