As it turns out, I have to be in Beaumont next week, so I'll get to hook up with Rick and hopefully Roland anyway! Not quite as fun as a real G2G, but we'll see.
And since I'm passing right by Scott (Texas Outlaw), I'm stopping on the way down to grab some lunch with him.

Get some guys. Remember Rick, van turbo is good for 400+ but from there I am not so sure how efficient it is. Who am I kidding, it tanks in efficiency north of 400.

Yeah, but so do his injectors............probably SOUTH of 400.
I am not so sure about that after watching that dually get down the track with all the crap in the bed. That truck is a runner, and I am not a fan of the TN turbo either.
As for the van turbo, it can make some good #s with good response which is a great attribute. Just gets crappy up top like all do up top. Some worse than others.

I think that's because you saw it on an 1/8th mile track. 4.10s on a dually would be tough to beat off the line for sure. Mine runs pretty good all the way triple digits, except for traction issues...

Wasn't that hard to beat off the line, that run was after I repaired my truck and I was asleep at the switch. His truck is still pretty fast and ought to easily be in the triple digits in the 1/4 too if you ask me. Just saying that Rick has a damn good running dually.
Your rig on the other hand has come a long way and I look forward to some of your best #s in the 1/4 despite the 2wd. The weight trade-off and lack of parasitic drag ought to be good for something.

Up date on our little fun. We, Roland and I installed my X-code springs on my truck Saturday. Joe couldn't make it here because he had some dog troubles. Wish he would have been able to come. The springs went on way better then I thought. We didn't have to take the bumper or the brackets off. Roland did take the small bracket off the bottom of the intercooler, one small bolt and we were able to take the front spring bolts out. I gained 1 1/4" height with these springs. We also did the power steering flush on both our trucks using Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. That went great also.
Don't tell Roland I'm telling you guys this, but I beat him in the 1/8 mile race. I used my speed from the track in Tenn as a measurement. When I hit 75 mph, Roland was even with my front tire, but by the time we got to 80 mph he was starting to edge past my nose. The first time we raced Roland was ahead, but I forgot to put my DP in 140, I had it in 80e. We got back on the road and we both forgot to put our trucks in 4X4. You should of seen all the white smoke behind us.lol. On the 3rd try, we got it right.
I think Roland has more power then me, but I think my gears put me ahead in the 1/8 mile. Like Mike (Tenn) said, I have a lot of chit hanging off my truck.
Like I wasn't going to see this. It was a fair race and I stacked up pretty good against Rick. I think by the time we run again at RRE 2010, I'll be a little better competition. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Hopefully , it will be enough to pull off a win on the short track.
The bracket, I removed to get the front spring hanger bolt out, was the lower a/c condenser mounting bracket.
I lost my p/s cap when we raced (was loose anyway) and had to get a new one on the way home at O'Reillys. That was the only casualty of war, along with a melted tire from our second run.

Triple digits in the 1/4 yea I want to see this.with 2wd if you do you will need to hook very good. Not saying it cant be done
