NOOOO! Because I have to go to the train station on Saturday. haha

Doing good. Sitting here in my sister's house in the mountains listening to her read Dr. Seuss to my two nephews and my niece.

Last night we took all three of them (ages 3, 4, and 6) to the store and my sister managed to lock her keys in the car. So she was freaking out and called her husband and all of a sudden I'm in the grocery store by myself and all three kids had to go pee. I threw them all in a shopping cart and wheeled that cart right into the women's bathroom. hahaha.

So last night has been PlayDoh, bubbles, reading, sword fighting, and of course plenty of fighting and taddle-taling.

GREAT birth control to say the least.

Tomorrow I will probably spend the day baking pies. Thursday morning its up and early to make turkey.

How is everyone else doing?

So what do ya get when you take a nobody and give them a meaningless badge and tell them they have authority?

Answer: A security guard!

My afternoon went like this: Run home and grab a couple saws, bar oil, PPE, and mix gas. Run to the shop and grab my camera I forgot. Then head down to Valley Service Rd. to work on taking down some of the trees I didn't get or couldn't get with the T320.

Got there and the FECON head is out of balance and the machine is shaking like crazy. It's going back tomorrow we got enough of what we needed to do done.

So as soon as I've got my saw fired up and I've got the area around a tree swamped out Mr. Security guard pulls up and asks me what I think I'm doing. I told him I was clearing the right of way and had permission from the North haven tree warden. I would've went back to my work except he parked his truck right where I intended to land the tree and I didn't want to go the other way since it was leaning pretty heavily. Guy says "Well this is private property" so by this time dad has walked over to see what's going on. Dad says "Yes it is. It's my property. Can I help you?" Actually he didn't but what he said isn't FTE appropriate even in the OT. So we had to get a survey out of the truck to show him where the property lines were. The security guard had been trying to tell me that I wasn't allowed past a certain open gate. So we walked the frontage with him he apologized and got back in his truck. I fired my saw up again and was trying to go back to work but he was still parked under the tree in his truck. So he finally moves and I get to cut a grand total of 2 trees for all that BS. The first was under 2" and the other was maybe a 6" tree.

What a waste of my afternoon.

BTW sorry if anyone here is a security guard I know he was just doing his job but I was just doing mine and he wasted the precious little daylight we get this time of year.

Oh and here's some pictures of the death and destruction machine and the results it produces.

Its a lot of work, and a shock to someone like me who is used to spending so much time alone. I have three or four people wanting things from me all at the same time. Aunt Lisa I'm hungry, can i have a snack? Aunt Lisa Westley hit me! Aunt Lisa will you tie my shoe? Aunt Lisa will you draw me a unicorn? And if you don't respond in 2 seconds, they'll repeat their original request, sometimes with an additional request attached to it. At one point my sister was also bugging me because she needed help with her computer.

Dunno how you full time parents do it.

Apple pies are a PITA. Peel a bag of apples and cut them into strips....and roll the dough into strips to make a basket weave pattern on the top.

Well, I hope everyone has been behaving as much as possible. I haven't checked on the OT in a long time and just have browsed the tech section. Noticed my supporter badge is gone...think I just might stay a freeloader!

I'm on my 2nd week at my new job and absolutely love it. Well, I love it when there is something to do. This training crap is boring and I sit at my desk and play hearts and solitaire for 5 hours a day. Next week its supposed to pick up a little bit.

Hope everyone is doing great and has a great Thanksgiving!

Apple pies are a PITA. Peel a bag of apples and cut them into strips....and roll the dough into strips to make a basket weave pattern on the top.
roll the dough out normally, then roll it up and slice it 1/2 or 3/4 inch wide then unroll on the pie...

I picked apples and made 22 pies one year (ONLY 1 YEAR!)

evening all

got out for a few errands today...set up a checking account, got dog toys and a pooper scooper at wallymart(how did I forget to pack them?!)

and went to the grocery for a few items!
