Thats just one, and there are many people people out there who reported over heating issues when towing with electric fans.
I don't see anything relevant there. People put an aftermarket electric fan on a small truck with a V8 crammed in it and it wasn't enough. How's that relate to what is in the F150?
Electric fans offer variable speeds which clutch fans don't. Also since the engine idles at 500 RPMs, electric fans can move more air at idle since they are not limited by the crank speed.

So because one guy who put an AFTERMARKET electric fan in and overheated...they don't work??? What about the other guy in there that said his worked fine and he never got above 210????? Let me guess...he didn't use the truck the way trucks are supposed to be used?

I seriously doubt a car that comes with electric fans factory is going to have many/any issues with cooling. I'm mainly referring to people who convert to electric fans from mechanical that automatically assume they can out perform and out cool their old mechanical fan.

Just like in the thread people reference the POS mechanical fans they buy for supposed higher performance, there's many POS e-fans. Anyone that would bolt on e-fans expecting it to just work don't need to work on their own car, and I bet they would make the same place searching for a mechanical fan. But there or plenty of e-fan setups that will PROPERLY cool an engine (as to being completely off, or cooling right over the A/C condenser when it's on, or running all out at idle if needed) thus making them outperform the mechanical fan. Performance is more than just CFM, which you seem to not understand.

Sir, this wasn't the point that you were trying to make, IMHO. I took you mean factory fans.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter as the fans are here and time will prove / disprove this thread.

HP gains? Minimal. The 09 5.4L with it's electric fan gained a whopping 10hp over the 08 so that point is out the window.
I put a 3.8L Taurus e-fan on my 5.0 Mustang and it keeps it quite cool on low speed. Never even hooked up high. Runs 190* (180 thermostat) in traffic with the a/c on in 95 degree weather. Never gets any hotter when ran really hard.
The truck with a much larger radiator will not run hot under load either.

The 09s had clutch driven fans there slick, 10hp was all programming.
There's a huge difference between a truck running at a combined weight of 17K lbs and a mustang with a big hp engine that weighs a whopping 3500 lbs. 17K lbs with thin air at 5000 feet in 90*+ heat isn't going to work out too well. I can already see where these fans are going.

Exactly. An aftermarket electric fan conversion usually is asking for problems IMO. A factory electric fan setup is not going to give you any issues. With an OEM setup you can control on and off temps, speeds, etc. The aftermarket solutions can be done correctly and not have any issues but IMO a factory setup is better. That being said, I am taking the electric fan that I put on my explorer off and putting the clutch fan back on because I am sick of farting around with the e-fan.
