Your box came with 128MB RAM (in a single DIMM) and a 7.5GB, 5400 RPM
Western Digital IDE hard drive. Still haven't found the max capacity, though.
It seems you can have a max of 512MB RAM using two 256MB PC100
non-ECC SDRAM DIMMs.

I have an idea - this *may* explain where some of your hard drive space is....
During the POST (power-on self test) hit ctrl-alt-f10 and see if it takes you into some sort of
system recovery utility. If it's (still) there, it'd likely let you restore the system to its out-of-
the-box configuration - complete with 'doze NT4.
During a separate POST, hit F2 and wander around the BIOS settings, see what you can
find concerning installed memory. Some of those Dell BIOS screens have you use Alt-P to
get to the next screens, others will use pg-up/pg-down or the arrows or some such. There
should be help printed at the bottom of the screen, and F1 should display a brief snippet
about the component or attribute you've highlighted to (re)configure. Generally, hit ESC to
exit and punt.
I picked up a 1957 Kirby Model 517 today for $40. I think someone did some work to it at one point, since it runs very smooth for its age. It needs another rebuild though, and a polishing.
I'm about to hit the hay, I have to get up at around 4am to get ready to go to work. HOPEFULLY starting an hour earlier than last week will allow me to get to church on time. Last week I missed the AM service.

so...you work a little while before you go to church? i'm up makin coffee and takin out trash before six. i could get a call, any time, and end up working all day....tho, if that were the case it would prob be a trip to st. lou or K.C. or chicago. otherwise, church at nine!
About three or four hours work. I got started about 5:30 this morning and I got to church about 9:20 or so. I was a bit late getting done this evening, but that was because I got a late start.
The other day I noticed the front driver-side door on my Cherokee was sagging a little when I'd open it....as it turns out, the top hinge has broken its welds and is coming loose from the unibody where it's attached. The bottom hinge is fine, but the top one appears to have rusted out just enough to break the welds, or it might have been due to the lack of the little door stopper bar that's on the other doors. It's supposed to keep the door open when you open it, but this door doesn't have that little part. It looks like it was removed....

From what I can find, you should be able to use a hard drive up to approx. 120GB in
capacity.
If you're interested in docs, enter that Service Tag number on Welcome to Dell Support
and you'll find a bunch-o-stuff.
Figure out how much memory you have:
Total: Right-click My Computer -> Properties
It should be on the lower RH-corner; tell me your CPU speed, too, just out of curiosity.
Individual slots: Easiest thing is to get into the BIOS at system start time and see what it
reports, you should have two banks (slots).
You can always look inside of it, too; I can't find an easy way of getting this information
from 'doze, although there are third party software utilities that you can install (Josh
knows of something he ranted on here about not real long ago).
