. In my experience with 460s they are one tough motor. I have 2 in industrial applications that have served me well. Have had some in trucks too. In 20 years ive had one off my 460s it has never been touched. Has about 15,000 hrs on the hour meter. Thats a ton off miles in road use. Ive always been impressed with Ford gassers over the years. Seems like there hard to wear out an last forever.

Yep, they are excellent engines and thats why Ford used them in such a wide variety of applications. In my opinion the 385 series Fords are the best pickup engines ever made. I believe Ford intended on making a over 500 cid engine based on the 385 series for the Lincoln and Mercury car applications to counter the excellent 472/500 Cadillac v8s. Imagine a factory 514 or 521 Ford pickup engine.

You appear to be the one who is upset here, claiming you want to bury hatchets and claiming you won't read posts you don't like and claiming you won't engage in pointless internet arguments. Yet, you haven't made good on any of these claims. I suggest that first of all, you go back and read your own posts to this thread and figure out just what it is you are trying to say (if you can sort out your own contradictions) and what you have said, and then read what others have written. I've explained it to you several times, so perhaps you might try reading it that many times (at least) until you figure it out, before you get back here and bray some more.

For instance, I've already quoted you as saying and implying others don't know what they are talking about when they disagree with you -- ignoring this fact doesn't put your college education in a very good light.

Thank you very much.

I'd sure like to know who those people are!

Ah, nothing like more "being nice," eh, landon?

Look, you say you went to college, you say you are trying to be so nice (and I really am so touched by your kindness), and you say you are trying to teach me something, yet you say this: Evidently, you just don't want to admit that despite your own vast experience and education, you can't even explain what your own posts are attempting to communicate, much less "educate" anyone else.

Oh, you are very rich, bud! Your humor has made my day! First you tell me how you are so nice and how hard you try, then you tell me that you often insult people of less intelligence -- I really appreciate this last part, since you don't state who these people with less intelligence are being compared to. It's totally apparent you are not being modest...

Anyway, please accept my condolences for the burden you bear, living in a world surrounded by idiots.
Your condolences are not in order but yes, it is very, very difficult living in a world full of people such as yourself. Thanks for having at least that much knowledge.
