OK, How do you drill out the Drivers side bottom front stud? You can't fit a carbide drill bit in there due to the clearance of the frame? Does this make sense?

I used tons of pb blaster, and easy outs, heat from mapgas torch and it wont budge....

I have 9 of the 10 done. Do I just leave it?

Any ideas? Even regular drill bits are too long.

I went down and got an angled head for the drill...Makita makes a tiny one...not made for much torque, but the tool survived long enough to get that last stud out.

Is it broke off in the head? If so, did the half with the sleeve come out? Or is that the half still in there? Of do you have an entire stud still stuck?

Good luck man.

Are you using a right angle drill? They also make shorter drill bits as well, in addition everyone recommends the left handed drill bits. Some will come out while drilling them for the extractor.

I started on this project on Saturday evening and had the passenger side manifold off after some fighting and down to the last nut on the drivers side. It was of course on the bottom but the 2nd from the front, no way in hell of getting to that without jacking the motor up. I wimped out and brought it to the dealership. I don't have the impacts or the compressor to run them to mess with those bolts.

Did you disconnect the motor mount and jack it up as far as possible?

Nope, didn't do the motor mount thing..... I have a right angle drill attachment. Maybe it's just too big. I'll look around for that makita one and see if its any smaller than mine.
