1976 F600, need heater core, service manual, etc.

Does anyone on here know a good source for parts, and manuals for a 1976 F600. Currently I need a heater core mainly and a manual would be pretty handy as well. Thanks for any input here.

George

Hi George. I recently bought the 1977 Ford Truck Shop Manual (5 volume set) and it includes the F600 as well as all (I believe) of the other trucks. It is a comprehensive manual and covers all aspects of the truck. I Got mine at a swap meet but I got my 1979 Medium/Heavy Shop Manual here. Auto Repair Manuals: Car, Truck, Motorcycle, ATV, & Marine Manuals, OBD Scanners & More! They have the 1976 set.
Can't help you with the heater core, though. Good luck.

You can try NAPA for a heater core. The Ford part # is E3TZ-18476-B but shows to be obsolete.

C7TZ18476A ..Heater Core was replaced by E3TZ18476B and E3TZ18658A .. Heater Core Seal.

The replacement heater core is slightly smaller than the original, why the seal is necessary.

Fits: 1967/79 F100/880.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has C7TZ18476A or E3TZ18658A.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS is the only source for E3TZ18476B. No Ford Dealer has any.

Any radiator shop can recore your heater core.

faxonautolit.com has used and reprints of Ford shop manuals.

shop manual

I've got a 76 F600 as well....I located a CD version of the 5 book shop manual. It's scans of the original manuals...you can google Detroit Iron Information Systems...to find a reseller. I paid about $40 with shipping from BroncoGraveYard.com. The mauals listed for the 1976 year were 3 volume....so I ordered the 1975 cd that contained the 5 volume scanned version. It has been very handy....it covers the F600 and others.
