Some old guy told me he mixed grease with parafin wax,warmed it up and used that. Never have tried it. Has anyone heard of this? Has anyone else tried the grease with parafin? Does it work?
There is something similar to this called Waxoyl, and yes it does work, as long as the metal is nice and clean.
