Cc dont work. How to trouble shoot?

97 F150/4.6/4X4/auto.
My Cruise Control don't work.
Where's the starting point to trouble shoot the switches etc.?

Check the deactivator switch and the recall harness for an open circuit first.

SMok is starting off with a positive reputation.
Jump the deactivator switch on the harness side with a paper clip or small wire and see if it works.
