Angry 06' F-350 PSD GPM

Hey guys I have a 06' F-350 4x4 dually psd automati with 4:10 gears. Truck has ran great with so so fuel mileage up to 4 weeks ago when it let me down due to a bad (injector computer) that was replaced under warranty. Now the truck running empty @ 70-73 mph is getting about 14-15 mpg. And when I tow my 16,000 lb trailer I'm getting 8.2-8.5 mpg on flat ground. Is this common? If so what can I do to increase my mileage? Chip; larger exhaust; k&n cool air filter unit etc. Any info will be certainly appreciated. Thank you

i feel your pain... i have an 06 4x4 psd auto cc lb dually with 4.30 gears. when i first got it i would struggle to get 13 mpg with it... now i get 13 perty easily... thanks to it breathing and fueling alot easier.)

i would recomend letting it breath and making sure you compensate fuel wise for it.

my guess is with 4.10's you should get beeter milage than mine.

good luck... and if you want an affordable exhaust send me a pm =-)

The mileage seems fairly normal for a 6.0L. If you were doing better before, did they reflash the PCM or FICM? At any rate, I would stay away from a K&N filter set up. The stock Donaldson air filter will be all you need until you start making some serious horsepower, as in over 500. You might give getting the FICM reprogrammed to improve mileage some thought.
