Wont start on some days

Well my mom has a 2000 expiditon with over 200,000 miles on it. But it runs great exept for one thing. if were out and about for a while over 3 hours and its kinda warm out, when we stop somewere and try to start it.... the dang thing wont start so we wait about 20 mins and it starts right up. i was looking through the dentside forms for info for my truck and it said something about one of the moduals over heats and then cools then starts up.. could this be the problem???? if so which part do i change out?

Any help is apreciated!
(getting tired of my mom telling me i need to fix this but i cant)

When it doesn't start you need to find out if it isn't getting spark, or isn't getting fuel. No spark, I would replace the crank sensor. No fuel, replace the fuel pump.

I replaced the idle positioning sensor, the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors, changed the cranks positoning sensor, and another sensor that i forget what it is. Ill change the fuel pump next but i belive we replaced it but i will have to ask my father about that one. if not i will replace it.

And im 100% sure it isnt getting fuel. Also driving up big hills it sputters sometimes.

That does sound like a fuel pump or at least a fuel delivery issue.
