Do our fuel systems dead head like the superduty or do they have a return line? If it has a return line, would it be less likely to trap air?

There is a return. Cuda posted a pic of the fuel system a in a thread a couple of days ago. My guess is the fuel tank switch thingy that I can't remember the name of.

I tested my system this morning and was running at 30 to high 40s at idle. I put in a new mechanical pump a year ago. After putting the bb in I was in 40-60 range. The needle was bouncing pretty good so I choose the average to high range of needle motion. Tomorrow I will check it with a stick gauge for fun.

I am curious to what the mid rpm to high rpm miss is in first and second gear. It seems to go away in third and fourth. Some times it is accompanied with a whiteish blue smoke.

Well I may not have a pressure problem. I got my glicerin filled gauge today and put it on, still a little oscillation but fairly stable. At idle it is around 55psi and is for the most part stayed in the 50's. I was able to get it down to almost 40. The highest I have seen so far was around 65. The air gauge I was using had a lot of oscillation. It looked like it was droping down to 30 or so and up to 70 or higher.

On a side note I did get it up to 20psi for boost going up a short steep hill.
