throttle body spacer?

ok so i was looking under the hood of my 78 ford f250 anf i saw the guy i bought it from used a inch block of wood for a throttle body spacer. and i cant seem to fine one online. any suggestions?

I don't even know what to say. He used a block of wood as a throttle body spacer? Was it to replace the egr valve plate?

Probably not wood. Wood is not dense enough to prevent leaks, and wood is just not good.
Phenolic spacers look like wood but are not wood.
These do not transfer heat like typical aluminum units do.
You could have some difficulty looking for a throttle body spacer for a 78 truck because the truck has a carb and not a throttle body unit.
You should be looking for a "carb spacer".

ahh ok i see thanks man. also i wanna lift this truck pretty high, they make 10 inch lifts for this truck correct?

Only custom springs for lifts this tall.
How much tire do you intend to run?

im running 44 inch boggers on this, im guesing ill have to go higher if i dont want rubbing
