I want a 7.3 in the 78

Hi there, i have a 78 F-250 4x4, dana 60 rear, dana 44 front, i have looked around for other people who have put in a 7.3, and am wondering if the axles and brakes from the 78 would be sufficient, and if maybe a 2 inch lift in the front would support the 7.3. Any advice i would like to hear.
