help on how to vent the crankcase

I'm all but done installing a 460 in my '78 F250 4X4. What's the best way to vent a crankcase? I have nothing in either valve cover ( grommet wise ) nor do I have an air cleaner. So I believe my options are wide open I just need advise on which way to do it.

WHat valve covers are you using? If it's a stock type setup that you are running, drill a hole in the driver front and passenger rear covers and put in breathers in each hole.

If it's an all out race setup, drill both rear edges and get you a crancase evac setup from Summit or Jegs, you'll just have to weld in the evac tubes into your headers.

if your running mostly a street setup you need to punch out the grommet holes in the valve covers (almost all valve covers have a place setup for this just not always punched or drilled) and run a PCV system. you can either run a line to your air filter or a filtered cap on the other valve cover.
