Mooseman.....As to the mileage on the 36' motorhome, I haven't weighed the rig, but I'm probably close to 23-23,500 with the Saturn in tow. Besides that, the "Old Lady", can go pee while going down the road, and I don't have to stop so often. Definately had to drive smoothly when the better half is up and moving around.

I tow a 36fl 5ver (14K) with '99 CC duallie, 7.3, auto, 4.10 gears. I drive at about 2000 rpm in OD (60-65 mph). I have an old Banks chip, Banks Stinger, BD TC and a shift kit. We run around the Northwest, WA, OR, ID, & MT and an Snow Bird trip to AZ each year. Have 68k miles on the truck most, 95% towing, we have a drive around car in AZ. I have logged all of the fuel usage from day one. My average is 9.87. I have a special 42 gal xfer tank giving me an easy 750 mile range. Tall hills I drop out of OD and passes I drop to 2nd and real long 6% grades I have to go to 1st. (there gos my 10 mpg). I also have a BD brake which is in use going down hill, saves the brakes.

Don't know for sure, John. All the info plates have been washed clean to shiny aluminum. I'm trying to get them replaced, but the trailer's a 1991 and I'm not having much luck.

I haven't weighed the trailer either, but I'm guessing aroung 8000 when fully loaded. I'm told, by several different shops, that 8000 is a good guesstimate for now.

That sounds pretty heavy for a 24' trailer to me. I'd guess more about 5k-6k loaded. I think my 24-1/2' was only 3.5k dry. my 31' w/slideout is about 8k loaded, measured on the CAT scales.
