How many 2000 lb. cars have enough room under the hood for one of those oversized slugs? For all I know, they may be awesome motors when built right, but I also know they are bigger than some import cars!.
If there is that much room, put 2 289's side by side.......

Come on Doug, Art put a big ol' smiley on that. I had a big long post all typed up to rip him, but I guess it got lost in cyberspace. Packaging (width-wise) was first, along with complexity and cost of hipo parts for the mod vs. SBF. Gotta admit, after you realize he was just kidding, it was funny....

I was not really kidding, actually.

Believe it or not, I think a 4.6 would fit into a Triumph TR7. Width-wise, anyway. The tops of the heads are the widest thing on the engine, and if you can fit a small-block in the AND get to the spark plugs, a 4.6 would fit. A bit tall perhaps
