dablack is starting off with a positive reputation.
partial axle tag, need a de-code please

Top left corner of the tag is destroyed so go with me a little bit if you don't mind.

Lop line. First part is missing then I have M - BM4 6HE
bottom line. 2 75 9 352A

From driving this thing across houston, I'm thinking it is a 2.75 rear gear and it looks like the tag supports that. What I need to know is the spline count. I don't have time to pull an axle right now.

I would also like to know if it is original to the 77 it is in.

thanks
Austin

Yes, as a matter of fact...

WDM-BM4 / 9" / 2.75-1 / non Limited Slip.

6HE = Assembled the 5th week (E) of August (H), 1976 (6).

Application: 1976 from serial number A50,001, 1977/78.

Right & Left Axle Shafts: D6TZ4234B .. 28 spline.

I would have answered sooner, but I just returned from 2 weeks in Hawaii.
