That is way to big of a trailer for a half ton with a small V8.

wow, I thought I was pushing the limits with my 28 foot 7000 lb trailer. Get a 3/4 ton truck at a minimum. It'll tow much better as well as being safe on the road.

I have a 2009 ford diesel 4x4 3/4 ton as well but it sits rather high and just wanted to see if my little truck could or would do it with-out falling apart with maybee a few mods. but i will just have to run the diesel on trips now, oh well
