Restore Time 1972 f100 Custom "Danid Newtons Project"

Hi everybody..Im new to this forum so bear with me..Here is the story on this truck..This Truck belonged to my best friend..It was his baby..He owned a auto repair shop {as i do now} and rebuilt a 351c 2v motor and droped it in..Behind that he rebuilt a c6 and tied them into a 9 inch..He parked the truck in back of his house and got busy at work..So he didnt drive it for two years..He never finished his baby..This was his pride and joy...He then became ill with cancer, fought it for 2 years and lost his fight..The truck was given to his step son, then his real son and neither could get it running.{neither are mechanics}..They got mad at it and trashed the windshield and fuel tank and hood.. My friends widow took it back and gave it to my friends brother..He never found time to mess with it..He called me and asked if i would like it,i said absolutely..So he gave it to me,free..In honor of my friend,i am going to restore it and name it after him..{i know wierd naming a truck, its not a boat }..So i will post pics and info as i go..Thanks..Travis... Were gona call this "David Newtons Project..I will post current pics when i figure out how...

Nothing wrong in naming a truck. I have two, one was named by the previous owner, (Earl) the other I named after my grandfather, (Chaz).

Update,i took the valve covers off today..Water came pouring out, damn!!The engine is completely full..The pcv valve hole had been open for the past two years, with no hood..This motor is clean as a whistle outside, there wasnt even 100 miles on this engine, after david rebuilt it..Looks like more work than expected..Gona pull the engine and disassemble over the next two weeks..Maybe a new motor is needed, dont know yet..Got word from my friends widow, she wants to help in the restore..Cool.
