When we got the beast we were given only the ignition key and the key to the saddle tanks but neither works in the doors. Do the doors generally have a different key than the ignition or are they keyed the same?
Chris, door and ignition are the same key. That being said, if the door or the lock was changed then obviously the key would be different. I had this issue with my '66 and the local locksmith made a key that would fir both for about $10. Steve

I would pull the door cylinders and take them to a locksmith and have them re-pinned to match the ign. key. That is what I did to mine, when I had to have a new ign. switch.

Lot of folks switch out doors. Not sure what a locksmith would charge, but I've seen the door and ignition sets for $50 or so. Not a big deal to change out.

I sure hope that you can get a couple cylinders re-pinned for a lot less than $50.00.
