bayou barataria is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I am old school as well, but I like all the electronics and power things that come on these trucks, they are meant to make your life easier and are an improvement over manual.

78bigbronco is starting off with a positive reputation.
I'm old school and stick to it, even though I'm probably younger than most on here. My '09 is coming with no power/auto nothing. Well I guess you could call cruise control a creature comfort... I did opt for that since 90% of driving is highway. Personally I dont think a lot of the so called advancements are a good thing. I think eventually we are all just going to be passengers in our own automated vehicles. No one will even remember how to run a car. Might be quite a bit in the future, but still, I'm fighting it every chance I get. And its already gone that direction quite a bit, most folks (like my wife) wouldnt even be able to start my Bronco... whats a choke? pumping the pedal what? But I dont blame folks that want all the fancy dancy stuff and it sure helps keep ford in business.

I don't think this was supposed to be come a discussion about the merits or faults of ESOF

Do you have factory wheels with the hub cover installed on the front wheels? You should be able to see the hubs regardless of ESOF or manual hubs. That is, unless there are aftermarket wheels out there that somehow cover the hubs, which seems unlikely to me.

Even if the ESOF does fail, you can still get out and manually lock the hubs.

( I know-T case may still have isues, not as common as hubs may be though)
