stuck horn & no cruise

2001 F-150 , horn was sounding with out touching pad and finally stuck on one day in parking lot, no cruise control since this time, was instructed by a FORD tech, that there are some contacts under the airbag cover, that could be bent down , does any one have an idea,i thinkg it is the clock spring, and where could i find an exploded view of the airbag unit.

Clockspring sounds like a good guess to me. As far as an exploded view your local Ford parts department should be able to print one out for you, actual Ford manual would be best.

Still having hard time get owner of truck to go with me on this, would rather take the work of a ford tech,( Off The Record ) so i could not get a local dealer to show me a diagram of the airbag, does anyone know where i can find a working diagram of the airbag ,drivers side , to see what makes it tick.

I don't have a exploded view of the air bag section to post, but we do have a new clock spring for your application if you need one.

Here's a link to it with details about them.Hope this helps yah.

SMok is starting off with a positive reputation.
Disconnect your cruise control servo and inspect the connector. I have seen brake fluid seep through the master cylinder swith and make its way all the way to the servo. It can then melt the connector at the servo. If your wondering why this would affect your horn, the ground for the horn goes through the servo.

ncranchero is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
To continue along the line SMok is taking. MAKE SURE the cruise switch recall has been done! If the switch is leaking the recall can take care of the switch and associated wiring, including the servo connector.
