Ford 460 connecting rods
I have two types of connecting rods from two different engines. The first set is D0OE-A rods and has a square bolt. The second set is truck rods from a mid 70's truck motor and has football bolts, which one is better to use?

agreed the "football" rods are known to be marginally stronger.

Dirt racer is starting off with a positive reputation.
I bought brand new football head HD truck connecting rods for my 429 out of the ford racing catalog. They are part number M-6200-A75. Not sure what I paid in 2003 but $180 in 2005 for new ones. Not sure what they are now.
