Big O, great job. This is the first time I've seen the inside of these filters. Quite a revelation. Is it me or do they all look somewhat similar? I guess they would since they have the same function. Everything I know about filters I learned on this site. I'm still learning. Thanks.

To get an idea of what to look for when you're looking at filter pics, there are primers here and here.

When you're done with all that, you'll know that there is still a LOT more to know!

Smile Thanks!

One note: the Supertech ST8A element endcap is not off-center... I removed it so I could pull out the center tube. The endcap is just sitting behind the filter element, unattached.

Thumbs up

Big O DAVE, Nice work!! The photos are crystal clear on my monitor, almost like I am holding the exact oil filter shown in my hand! Good job, I will refer back to this thread often, for future reference. Thanks again. ED

Big O, tried both sites and system came back with "no such topic number exists".
