Just returned to Michigan from trip to Florida and back with 2011 F350 super cab 4X4 6.2 with 3.73 gears. Much of trip was with 6th gear locked out and mpg for 4700 miles was 9.5. Easily accelerated on any hill if you are willing to run some of the time in 4th gear. So far very pleased with this combination for pulling.

Just to clarify you stayed in 5th gear most of the 4,700 miles?
Did the truck stay in 6th on the flat highway at all or just kept downshifting to 5th?
