I imagine that windshields in Alaska probably have a heftier price to cover shipping?
$275 for a Carlite is a good deal. $140 for a Pilkington is a smoking deal, I dont even do them that cheap on the side. The Carlites are the most expensive and the only one with the super duty logo. Pilkington or Guardian is another high quality choice.
$1000 dollars is nuts. Curve or size doesnt make the glass more expensive. Usually its luxury car, heated, antennas, or a new model.
Insurance is different in every state whether you have to pay a deductible or not. Having a occasional windshield claim should not affect your insurance rates.
