Pickup trucks in Montana have Winterfronts (cardboard zip tied to the grille) and two cords hanging out the front, one for the OEM block heater that burned out, and the replacement (or if its new enough, one for the OEM and one for an oil pan heater). I know guys that have removed their cooling fans in the winter. My Jeep hasn't had a fan in two years, its okay even in the summer.

Yes, you'll want a block heater. My Jeep doesn't have one and hasn't had any issues, but its pretty new too.
