Just FWIW and conversation sakes, i drove an automatic 2011 5.0 Mustang and power down low is not a problem. Gobs of it and it's no lightweight vehicle. The engine changes for the F150 seem to be only that the intake cams are changed for more low end, 1/2 point of compression less and different exhaust manifolds.
I just hope they found a way to lighten the chassis and will offer quite a few rear gear ratio options.

Sweet thanks for posting up the test drive info. I am about ready to pull the trigger on an xl or stx std cab 2wd truck. So what your saying is this 5.0 should get up and move?
