Hello gentlemen! I have a 79f100 ranger with original C6 transmission,but some times it slips, Recently it overheated after speeding while climbing a hill would it be a good idea to change the tranny fluid and filter or will need to be rebuilted? Cheap insurance to go ahead and change the fluid. Be sure to drain the torque convertor as well to try and get as much old fluid removed as possible.
