Boss 5.4

also, you have to consider that their are folks to whom style and TOWING capacity is more important then a SuperCharged engine. this is a great truck for them.

Also you need to keep in mind that while the Boss left the factory with the 260 hp 350 lb ft 5.4L engine, that isn't the way it has to stay. I saw a nice yellow Boss that the owner had endowed with a Kenne-Bell SuperCharger (among many other mods) that would easily run with any stock lightning
Yea and if I supercharged my Contour, and if I turbocharged an Escort, and if I dropped a 426 wedge into,,, etc, etc, etc. Anyone can run into a custom shop and throw open the hood and turn over their wallet for a fast car. It's this exact principle that makes my blood boil with GM. That limp wristed, front drive, 2 ton blockish looking turd of a car that GM calls the Impala, and worse yet now they have SS stickers on it is a joke. It's despicable, it's riding on the coat tails of a great line of cars. A "Boss" should be more than decals and some upgraded paint/interior. The original Boss's had upgraded engines, with more horsepower and additional handling. The Boss is a great truck for towing ? Not really, do you really think someone is going to take that beautiful truck anywhere with a trailer in tow ? Sorry, I do not believe that. It's a boulevard cruiser, and a pretender at that since it has no motor. Thew guy with the Boss with the KB s/c is probably pi$$ed that his "Boss" didn't come with a motor, like it should have. I'll bet you the $4K he spent to make it a real boss was money he thinks he shouldn't have had to spend.
