Other FTE Members have posted that their Mercury Trucks had this style of radio, one claimed it was "a $90 option in 66"? Unfortunately, they didn't post any pictures. I have only seen two other pictures of this radio, one from FTE Member, James in British Columbia. Check out his 1965 Ford F250 Gallery. He claimed that it was an original radio.

NumberDummy, if these radios aren't "factory", isn't it possible that they were installed by Canadian Ford/Mercury dealers?
In 1965, Ford introduced the Ranger, a plush truck (for the time) that came with bucket seats and carpeting, a vinyl drape that covered the fuel tank and other amenities.

IMO...if FoMoCo had a radio like the one pictured with pushbuttons on it...doncha think Ford woulda offered it in Rangers?

The only radio available in Rangers was the same el cheapo non push button unit offered in all the other 1961/66 trucks.

There is no radio like the one pictured listed or shown in the 1964/72 Ford truck parts catalog which includes parts used on 1965 Canadian trucks.

I'll believe it's factory...when and if someone comes up with a 1961/64 Canadian only parts catalog that shows/lists it, or a 1961/66 Canadian only truck accessory brochure with the same info.

What CA-2TPT refers to, I haven't a clue. Is FoMoCo in script surrounded by an oval reverse embossed on the chassis?

Is there an ID number like C1TB-18806-AA marked anywhere? Have you removed the bezel to see if there's any numbers marked on the backside of it?

Since FoMoCo didn't offer any radio after 1954 with round push buttons for any vehicle...why would they offer one for a 1961/66 Canadian only truck?
