On "Hot Rod" the television show they did a build up of a 454 and a 460 with a "budget" . On the 460 they got 407 HP and about 365 Ft lbs torque with a mild investment of $2300. New intake, new Holley 750, double roller timing set, running 10:1 compression and I think some mild head work, headers, MSD ignition. Maybe some more stuff.
